Making mental health recovery possible. Together.

Whakamātūtū is for individuals who are finding their way through mental distress - those who need more than a quick visit to the doctor, or what they're getting from specialist services. We see you. You’re not too much, and you’re not ‘not sick enough’.

Our programmes are built to meet you where you are, walk alongside you, and help you strengthen your own path to recovery.

Our programmes are about people learning their own strengths and skills for a continued recovery. They address key aspects of mental health – the emotional, relational, physical, and spiritual by working with psychotherapy, Rongoā Māori, somatic therapy, art, and music therapies.

The different formats are designed for people to focus on their recovery in the way that best suits them, and after that to have access to ongoing, peer-led support.

We aim for a two-week intake process so that participants can start their Whakamātūtū journey as quickly as possible.
